mi·mè·si is a research project about materials. The main characters of this insight are the textures obtained from the material experimentation. The aim of the project was to investigate new combinations of materials to renew the repetitive artisanal techniques and to break the old patterns.

The new material used was dried wicker, combinated to paper, bioplastics and concrete; materials which we made prototypes of. During the development of the project, we found out that the textures which were formed were particularly interesting. The semi-finished product and the prototypes were photographed and catalogued, and then studied using the color inversion, which gave a different point of view of the organic textures.

As a container of this process of experimentation, finally, we made a catalogue to show all of the semi-finished product, the prototypes and the research about textures.
